SRK Consulting is seeking Consultant Mine Tailings Engineer to join SRK India office based in Kolkata. Definite experience working with mine tailings facilities are desirable for this position.
SRK Consulting, is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector. Established in 2006, SRK India, provides technical due diligence, feasibility study, project valuation, mineral resource evaluation and mineral exploration, mining geotechnical and hydrogeological services to a wide range of clients, both within India and abroad.
SRK services in mine tailings engineering include:
- Site evaluation and selection
- Water balance development and utilization
- Geotechnical, hydrogeologic, rheologic, and geochemical evaluation and characterization
- Feasibility and financial evaluation
- Risk and hazard assessment and emergency response planning
- Construction and operation monitoring, management, and quality assurance
- Decommissioning, closure, and landform restoration
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field.
- 4 to 6 years proven experience in mine tailings management, including design, monitoring, and risk assessment.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in relevant software packages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
