Trevor Silverton
Principal Consultant (Geotechnical Engineering)
Trevor is a mining professional with over 30 years’ experience of geotechnical engineering, mine design and technical management. He has more than 15 years of project design and project management experience of scoping, due diligence and feasibility studies gained through working with several consulting groups whilst located in South Africa, South America, Australia and the UK. This covered a wide range of commodities and mining methods.
Victor Muñoz
Senior Consultant (Civil/Water Resource Engineering)
Víctor Muñoz is a Hydrotechnical Engineer more than ten years of professional experience. Victor’s well-developed combination of academic pursuits and experience from consultancy companies includes a focus on: hydraulic structures; hydrology; and water balance problems in areas related with analysis, modelling, design, and construction. Victor has participated extensively in multi-disciplinary projects groups at AMEC, and then at SRK; where he designed solutions for a broad spectrum of hydraulic requirements, as well as hydrology and water balances.
Nuno Castanho
Consultant (Mining Engineering)
Nuno is a Consultant Mining Engineer with 10 years' experience working in underground mining, quarrying and mineral exploration. His experience covers underground mine planning (including design and scheduling), quarry planning, project management, exploration drilling, geological and geotechnical core logging and mapping on several projects across Portugal and Spain.
Iñaki García
Consultant (Geotechnical Engineering)
Iñaki García Mendive is a geotechnical engineer in SRK’s Buenos Aires office. His specialization focuses on the characterization of rock masses, application of empirical and numerical methods for design and validation in open pit and underground operations. He has experience in the design of geotechnical projects including foundations, anchor systems, embankments, slopes and excavations (OP and UG). He has participated in investigation projects at the Soil Mechanics Laboratory of the University of Buenos Aires. He collaborated as teaching assistant in the course of Strength of Materials.
Matthew Grimshaw
Exploration Geologist
Presentation: The Application of Portable XRF to Rapid Data Collection in Mineral Exploration
Matthew is an Exploration Geologist with a range of practical expertise from prospecting to geological mapping. He has a PhD specialising in gold mineralisation and experience in a range of commodities and deposit types. He is proficient in the use of GIS, tablet mapping, portable XRF use, diamond drilling and interpretation of data using IoGas geochemical software.
The Standardized Reclamation Cost Estimator (SRCE) is a public domain Microsoft Excel-based tool that has been used in Nevada for more than 10 years to calculate mine closure costs for financial assurance.
