But due to its strong historical focus on sustainability, the region is well placed to lead the way in the wider European context by showing how mining can be responsible.
SRK’s ESG team have worked on many projects in the Nordic region for over 15 years. Through our due diligence and advisory work we recognise that strong regulation and active stakeholders across the region mean permitting processes are generally robust, albeit quite time consuming. Industry itself is recognising the need to change with companies across the region implementing voluntary actions to improve sustainability.
