SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector.
We are seeking a Corporate/Principal Resource Geologist.
- Expert knowledge and use in computerized modeling or resource estimation tools (Vulcan, Datamine, Leapfrog)
- Strong working knowledge of exploration and production geology
- Strong time-management skills and well organized
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to independently generate, implement and complete work assignments
- Ability to create and maintain client relationships
Education, Certifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in geology or mining engineering
- A minimum of twenty (20) years’ experience in resource geology and mining, including:
- Extensive experience in precious metals and base metals
- Experience in both open pit and underground operations
- Experience with drilling, database validation and management, QA/QC, sampling protocol, and analytical techniques;
- Registered professional status or eligibility for registration in a professional organization
- Qualified Person as recognized by the SEC, Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM) or Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC), to prepare technical documentation for public reporting
Preferred qualifications:
- Graduate degree in geology or geostatistics
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) will be highly regarded
- Experience in Nevada-based exploration and mining is desirable
$150,000-$275,000 per annum USD
