The multidisciplinary team focusses on the integration of Climate Change into mine and infrastructure design to ensure that the risks of climate change are addressed at the design and planning phases. This includes consideration of post closure risks and risks associated with community resilience to climate change and social license to operate. With a strategic perspective that takes a holistic view of the challenges posed by climate change, the team identifies novel approaches to address these challenges. The climate change team draws on their own extensive experience but also the wealth of knowledge held by the global SRK team in both Climate Change and mine, water and resource management. This integrated approach ensures that solutions consider latest technological advancements but are also practical and implementable.
