Oliver is a geologist with expertise in resource estimation, geological modelling and data management across a range of deposit styles and commodities. His 15 years of experience in the Australian mining industry has allowed him to work on solutions to technical problems on projects spanning greenfields exploration, through feasibility, and into production.
Oliver has domestic and international experience with commodities including gold, copper, uranium, lithium, mineral sands and bauxite, and qualifies as a JORC Competent Person in gold, copper, uranium and phosphate.
As an expert computational geoscientist, Oliver maintains a software toolkit comprising mining software (Micromine, Leapfrog, Leapfrog Edge), statistical analysis (R, Mathematica, Python), geostatistics (Isatis Neo), database administration (Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database), GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and software development (Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET). He readily combines technical skills and geological knowledge to produce innovative and effective workflows.
