The course will utilize a case study as an illustrative example to highlight key aspects of the risk assessment process. Please note that due to time constraints, we will not delve into the estimation of likelihood of consequences. Instead, we will draw upon the case study to demonstrate various approaches for framing and presenting risks. Our goal is to showcase how the results of a risk assessment can be applied to inform decision-making.
This workshop is specially tailored for practitioners, engineers, and decision-makers, as well as anyone interested in acquiring practical knowledge. It is designed to provide insights from success stories, explore new frontiers, and address challenges within the industry, particularly in the realm of risk management. We will focus on various aspects, including risk identification, risk assessment, risk evaluation, and risk treatment, all within the context of tailings dewatering in projects and operations.
