A robust water management system is essential to build resilience against increasing demand on limited resources and the effects of climate change on the frequency and severity of droughts and floods. The COVID-19 pandemic has further weakened many water, sanitation and health (WASH) systems.
SRK water experts will share their insights and propose alternative approaches. Based on their years of experience working across Africa, they will discuss solutions to challenges including insufficient or outdated policy direction, financial and funding constraints, absence of water stewardship, water resource restrictions and the lack of awareness, training and skills in the sector.
