Andrew has supported geotechnical and structural geology assessments in a variety of deposit styles and project locations. He has experience with geotechnical investigation, analysis, and slope design in a variety of deposit settings. This experience extends to the collection/interpretation of remote monitoring data. This has previously involved highly interactive design studies between hydrogeology, mining, structural geology, and geotechnical teams. Andrew has managed several field data collection and design study programs. This includes an operational design study and data collection program for the Aktogay Mine and at Rio Tinto’s IOC Mine.
Andrew has been involved in the development of SRK’s automated geotechnical characterization of core photography using machine learning. These workflows are currently being applied on several open pit and underground projects.
