He has a broad knowledge base, being educated in geology, geotechnical engineering and rock mechanics.
Andy has extensive experience in designing, undertaking and managing geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations.
He has worked on a wide variety of caving projects and mines worldwide. He completed his master’s at the University of British Columbia where he focused on engineering rock mechanics.
Andy leads the rock mechanics team in the SRK Vancouver Mining and Geology Group which has a focus on caving mining methods. Andy works closely with Jarek Jakubec on multiple aspects of cave engineering and design, underground audits and workshops.
