Avijit holds a BE in Mining Engineering from IIEST-Shibpur and has completed specialized training in Rock Mechanics from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
Avijit's expertise spans production, mine planning, and geotechnics in both coal and metal mining, with a focus on mining geotechnical engineering, slope stability analysis, slope monitoring, predictive analysis, and open pit mine planning.
During his industry days, Avijit has led several award-winning projects, including large-scale slope failure prediction, advanced geotechnical monitoring, and technological improvements in coal recovery. Avijit has also pursued further education with certifications from MIT and Harvard Business School. His work has been published in various national and international conferences. Since joining SRK, he led multiple mining feasibility studies in India and globally.
Avijit is highly skilled in utilizing a diverse array of design and modelling software, including AutoCAD, Minex, Surpac, and various Rock Science applications such as Slide, RS2, and RS3 etc.
