Cassia’s experience includes the development of Disaster Risk Assessments and Disaster Risk Management Plans in line with the Disaster Management Act and other legislation.
She has formed part of the SRK teams that performed risk assessments and disaster management plans for various hazards such as floods, droughts, fires, environmental degradation, etc.
She has assumed various roles from project coordination and providing technical support to multidisciplinary teams responsible for the development of Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans (EPRPs) which is a requirement under Global Industry Standards on Tailings Management (GISTM) for various mines in South Africa.
