Chris’s experience prior to working at SRK includes operations and early exploration field work throughout Western Canada.
At SRK, he has worked on a variety of projects ranging from scoping level to feasibility, as well as operating mines, and in a broad range of commodity types. Chris has ample experience in both open pit mining engineering and project management roles.
Proficient in Minesight 3D and Deswik software, Chris’s technical focuses are in strategic planning, pit optimization (NPV Scheduler), mine design, haulage, scheduling, and other engineering tasks. Chris has contributed to NI43-101, SK-1300 and JORC compliant reports at various levels of study.
Other specialties include cross-over pit analysis, high-level dilution studies, mining industry research projects and electrification studies which consider alternative haulage methods such as in-pit crushing and conveying (IPCC), trolly-assist technologies and others.
