Cristian has extensive experience performing hydrogeological modeling for permitting and dewatering purposes in Nevada, Arizona, and Alaska. His main areas of expertise include the development of conceptual and numerical models, the evaluation of underground water resources, mine dewatering requirements, environmental impacts of mining, pit lake infilling, brine extraction, and pore pressure analyses. He is skilled in the preparation of interpretative data and the compilation of reports, management, creation of databases (hydrological, bibliographic), and logistics. He is vastly experienced in various hydrogeological interpretative software (LeapFrogHydro, Hydrochem®, Aquifer Test, Aqtesolve®), and hydrogeological modeling software (Visual ModFlow®, Groundwater Vistas®, Hydrus-D, Feflow).
Hydrogeological numerical models have become a frequently used tool for predictions related to water in mine operation.
Learn MoreBrine extraction for surface processing and recovery of potash, lithium and various industrial salt products requires the application of traditional hydrogeological theories to hyper-saline solutions.
Learn MoreThe hydrogeology of the project area is comprised of two water-bearing systems.
Learn MoreAccurate predictions of long-term dewatering requirements by groundwater models depend on the quality of calibrated hydraulic parameters and boundary conditions.
