He is actively engaged in a range of meteorological, ambient air quality and stack emission monitoring campaigns in his career. This background, complimented by his knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has allowed him to undertake atmospheric dispersion modelling assessments ranging from initial screening level to complex source and terrain models using various predictive modelling platforms such as ADMS, AERMOD and CALPUFF.
Hasheel has been able to gain a thorough understanding of the National Environmental Standards by compiling atmospheric emission license (AEL) applications (SAAELIP), completing National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (NAEIS) Submissions, creating industry-specific air quality management plans, and performing a variety of other air quality services.
At the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Hasheel obtained a PhD in "Air Pollution Monitoring and Dispersion Modelling in the eThekwini Municipality." He has also explored his abilities in acoustic monitoring and modelling for a diverse range of client operations in Southern Africa. As the KZN Branch Chairman for the National Association for Clean Air (NACA) committee from 2015 to 2023, Hasheel actively participates in keeping up with current issues about air quality in South Africa. In addition, he is a registered Professional Natural Scientist with SACNASP. His areas of expertise include:
