Specializing in open pit mine planning, Isaac focuses on strategic business planning, production planning, pit optimization and design, drill and blast optimization, project management, cost modelling, and reclamation and closure planning. His experience includes working with Asante Gold Corp., Galiano Gold Inc., Kinross Gold Corp., Redback Mining, and Ghana Bauxite Mining at various scales of operations.
Through real-life experiences, Isaac is familiar with open pit and underground mining methods, demonstrating a clear understanding of their operational strategies. In 2017, he was awarded the 'Gold' winner in 'Rigorous Financial Discipline' with Kinross Gold Corp., a global recognition supporting the company's corporate values. Isaac is proficient in using Surpac, Minesched, NPV-Schedular, and other mine planning software.
Isaac holds an MSc in Project Management from the University of Salford, UK, and a BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology, Ghana. He is a member of the West African Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum Engineers Association (WAIMM).
