Jon joined SRK Exploration Services in 2008 and his role includes data compilation and analysis, exploration targeting and programme design, project reviews, technical reporting, and project management, all for a wide variety of commodities and worldwide locations and often for multi-disciplinary projects.
In recent years, Jon’s work has focused on the Precambrian terranes of West Africa, Greenland, and the Arabian Shield. He has been involved with regional mineral prospectivity reviews, target generation, mineral exploration programme design and supervision, interpretation of results, and production of a number of Independent Technical Reports, NI 43-101 documents, and CPRs. Exploration work has ranged from grassroots reconnaissance to drilling programmes for resource definition.
Jon works on a diverse range of commodities but has a particular interest in ‘critical minerals’ including columbite-tantalite, rare earth minerals, and other minor metals. Jon also manages SRK EX’ capabilities with respect to heavy mineral sand exploration.
