She has vast experience in the environmental management of mining projects in all stages, from the exploration phase to the closure of the mine, geotechnical-environmental planning, baselines and environmental assessments for the energy-mining and transport sector in Peru.
Karin participates in due diligence studies, independent technical reviews, and audits, in which she has reviewed compliance with national standards and international guidelines for financial institutions and private clients. She has led more than 20 environmental impact studies for important companies such as Minera Yanacocha, Antamina, Milpo, and Poderosa.
In addition, she has served as coordinator for the World Bank in environmental projects and as a teacher in the Faculty of Science and Engineering of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
