Kirsty is a geochemist and geologist with over 14years’ experience in environmental geochemistry in the consulting industry, and 13 years research experience in lithogeochemical, mineralogical, and isotopic studies of Archean rocks.
Kirsty is experienced in characterization of metal leaching and acid rock drainage (ML/ARD) potential of mine wastes and aggregate sources for highway construction, waste rock seepage monitoring, and interpretation and modelling of leachate chemistry.
Kirsty specializes in kimberlite projects and rare earth element/rare metal projects including radionuclide aspects of mine wastes. She also has experience with uranium projects, base metal projects, selenium geochemistry, and evaluating the silicate neutralization potential of low sulphur waste rock.
Kirsty has worked in the field throughout central-western Canada, Alaska, Australia, and the UK, with the focus of the past several years being northern Canada and Alaska.
She is skilled in writing geochemical reports and research papers and has presented results at national and international conferences.
