Kirsty has twelve years’ experience in geological modelling and structural analysis and specialises in the interpretation of 3D geometry and controls on mineralisation.
She has a PhD in Active Tectonics and Geophysics from The University of Cambridge, and at SRK has developed and presented Applied Structural Geology courses to mining professionals globally.Kirsty is an expert user of implicit modelling software (Leapfrog Geo) and has an in-depth knowledge of Mineral Resource Estimation. She has acted as technical lead for multiple modelling and resource mandates, ranging from exploration properties to operating mines and has worked on a wide range of commodities, including gold, base metals, lithium, and iron ore, mainly in Central Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Kirsty has diverse technical expertise, including regional, deposit-scale, and open pit mapping; geostatistical analysis, domaining, Mineral Resource estimation and classification; lithostructural modelling for geotechnical and hydrogeological assessments; field- and drillcore-based ground-truthing studies; resource audits and due diligence reviews; and development of exploration targets and drill programmes.Kirsty previously worked in exploration for Rio Tinto as a FIFO Geoscientist on a iron-ore drilling project in the NE Democratic Republic of Congo, and for Boliden Minerals conducting mapping in the Skellefteå VMS district, Sweden.
