Marcin Wertz

His specialisation includes mine planning and design of underground hard rock mines and study management.

Marcin’s areas of expertise include reviewing mining methods, underground layouts and production scheduling for various underground hard rock mines and mining studies. He conducted reserve audits with emphasis on resource-to-reserve conversions and evaluating underground operations including productivity being achieved to determine bottlenecking and/or overstaffing. 

He has experience in carrying out mine design and production scheduling activities for various underground projects involving a range of geometries from conventional tabular deposits through vertical fissure/vein-type deposits to massive deposits. He also coordinates and manages mining scoping studies through to full feasibility studies to bankable standards involving multi-disciplinary teams including other consulting firms and technical audits and reviews of mining projects.

Marcin has worked and has experience in the following countries such as Botswana, Bulgaria, The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ghana, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Lesotho, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
