María Alejandra Suárez

Maria's expertise includes geotechnical explorations and characterizations, as well as the planning, execution, and control of operations.

Specialized in international project management, she is currently pursuing a master of mining business administration (MMBA (C)) at the Gerens School of Graduate Studies and the Colorado School of Mines. 

Her professional background includes the evaluation of new projects and potential areas, supervision of exploration projects, project management, technical and safety audits, and the execution of geological-geotechnical characterizations and modeling.

With extensive knowledge in RC, DDH, and OH drilling, particularly diamond drilling, Maria is highly skilled in logging and sampling, database management, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC). She has participated in a wide range of mining projects across Colombia and Latin America supportin supervision, inspections, and audits, with significant experience in open-pit mining.

Additionally, María has contributed as an author to research projects, including the geological characterization of new mining projects in Colombia and Latin America.
