Mauro has experience in the numerical modelling of a wide variety of geotechnical works, including: nuclear power plant and gas plant foundations, embankments in soft soils, rockfill and tailing dams, tunnels, and excavations.
He specializes on the development, implementation, calibration, and use of advanced soil constitutive models applied with numerical methods for geotechnical analysis and design; and has also experience in monitoring and interpretation of laboratory and field testing.
Mauro earned an MSc degree from MIT, with a thesis focused on the implementation of an elasto-visco-plastic model in ABAQUS.
He is currently a lecturer of Computational Geomechanics graduate course at the University of Buenos Aires.
