Philip is a mining engineer with over 45 years of experience in corporate advisory services, mergers and acquisitions, technical support and reviews.
Commencing his career as an underground mining engineer, with experience in drill and blast, ventilation, mine planning, scheduling and operations. Philip has wide experience across a number of operations in Australia, including two years as the registered mine manager of an underground mine. His roles expanded to include technical support and corporate strategic advice, and he continued to develop particular areas of expertise in mining project reviews, including economic assessments and risk assessment across multiple discipline areas including geology, mining, processing, logistics, commodity markets and environment. Philip has been involved in several high-profile mergers and acquisitions, and divestments of coal, gas, and metals projects across the globe. Since joining SRK in 2019, Philip has led a number of independent technical reviews of projects with commodities including copper, nickel, lithium, rare earths and mineral sands.
