Rijumon Dasgupta

Rijumon’s experience in hydrogeological studies has been focused on metal and non-metal mines, both open pit and underground, and water management facilities in mines. He has been involved in the planning and implementation of coupled hydrogeological/geotechnical field programs, dewatering strategies, and technical studies from scoping through prefeasibility, feasibility and operations throughout India.

Rijumon’s experience extends to mine water balance studies, mine surface water management, climate and hydrological studies. He has also led projects involving surface and groundwater resource protection, impact assessment, SVA, SWPP and regulatory compliance projects pertaining to water. Apart from mining hydrogeological assessments, Rijumon was involved in several projects related to ground water and hydrogeology funded by World Bank, European Investment Bank, African Development Bank, the Government of Zambia, the Government of Tanzania and the Government of Myanmar. He successfully completed number of projects in India, Southern Asian and Southern African Countries.
