Sudesna has contributed to several Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) and Feasibility Study (FS) level mine-geotechnical projects across India. Her primary strengths include geological, structural, and geotechnical mapping of mine-scale deposits, geotechnical and structural logging of oriented borehole cores, and drone-based photogrammetry mapping. She is proficient in interpreting structural data using Datamine Sirovision, capturing structural data from oriented borehole core photographs with Datamine Core Profiler, and field supervision and interpretation of ATV and OTV logging data with WellCAD. She excels in geotechnical and structural modeling for open pit and underground mine planning and design, as well as slope stability analysis using Rocscience Slide3 and RS3, and developing slope remediation programs.
Her experience extends to laboratory test-work on hard rock and weak rock samples, waste rock dump design and stability analysis, and geotechnical investigation for Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) design. Additionally, she has undertaken hydrological and hydrogeological assessments and geophysical logging interpretation in a few projects. Recently, she has worked on several hydropower projects, focusing on GIS-based lineament mapping followed by field mapping to assess impacts on major infrastructures.
Sudesna is proficient in various software, including the Rocscience suite, QGIS, Global Mapper, AutoCAD, WellCAD, Datamine Sirovision, Core Profiler, and 3D Leapfrog.
