Tyrone started his career as a project engineer for a contracting services business before shifting to a technical mining engineering focus.
He has been responsible for communicating mine plans to stakeholders; ensuring pits are mined in a practical, safe and efficient manner; monitoring design and schedule compliance; and maintaining haulage and scheduling models to ensure realistic outputs. Tyrone has worked on projects across Australia, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
He is proficient is various software packages including Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac, Spry, Alastri and RPM, and can provide training and implementation. Most recently, Tyrone has worked on decarbonisation studies for a range of projects, which included assessing feasibility and cost for alternative fuel options as part of the product development process.
