She has experience in consulting and operation management. After graduating from the Colorado School of Mines, she conducted scoping studies, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, and project valuation with Zijin Mining Group company for projects in China, Serbia, Tajikistan, Australia, Colombia, and Guyana.
Shan then worked at Continental Gold’s Buritica Gold Mine in Colombia where she was responsible for life of mine planning, production operation, and grade control optimisation. Her expertise includes pit optimisation, mine design, and scheduling in metal mines, and she is skilled in using Deswik, Whittle, Surpac, MineSched, and AutoCAD.
