This presentation will also feature 3 case studies; the first is a feasibility and detail design of a new mine showing the approach generally used in the design of sublevel open stope operations, a second example is of a mine that presents high stresses due to large openings that were mined without backfill, a seismic geotechnical study was carried out to optimize the mining method, mine sequence and support design in highly stressed ground. Finally, the case of a mine that has stope stability problems with high dilution, the study carried out was to re-dimension the stopes and the design of support with cable bolting and review of the mine backfill.
