Ancient mining districts rediscovered: Uncovering the mineral wealth of the Arabian-Nubian Shield

Description

The Arabian-Nubian Shield (ANS) is a renewed frontier of mineral exploration and development. A known host to tier one deposits and very prospective for a diverse range of commodities, it is under-explored as compared to similar shields in Australia, Africa, South America and Canada. As host countries adopt and update mining legislation to encourage investment activity, the region is attracting a myriad of new explorers. Come and hear why our speakers have chosen to explore and develop within and adjacent to the ANS, their unique approaches, and their successes.

The presentation titled “The Exploration and Mining environment in Saudi Arabia”, will cover the current Saudi Arabian licensing process, the current exploration activities in the country, the current mining activities, the Saudi Arabian 2030 vision, as well as a summary of the main operating companies in the Kingdom.
