Mr Li Xinchuang is a State Council Special Allowance Expert, professor-level senior engineer and registered consulting engineer (investment). He holds various positions, including President and Chief Engineer of China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute, Vice Chairman of China Iron and Steel Association, and Director of the Metallurgical Technical Economics Committee at the Chinese Society for Metals. He has been heavily involved in developing China’s 8th to 13th Five-Year Plan and other key government policies on the iron and steel industry as well as the development planning and preliminary investigation on the feasibility of major projects for hundreds of domestic and foreign steel mills.

Philip has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing, business development, and advisory in the iron ore and steel industry with global companies such as JP Morgan and Rio Tinto. Philip was one of the first people to join Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) when it was a small start-up in 2003 and participated in the growth of a remarkable success story.  
While at Rio Tinto, he was based in Shanghai and closely involved with decision-makers in China’s steel industry and government. He lived in China for 16 years, is fluent in Mandarin, and was educated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Beijing Language and Culture University. Philip is Chair of the investment committee of the Australian China Business Council (WA).

Jane Fan joined Fastmarkets in 2019 and is currently the Index Manager for Fastmarkets Metals & Mining, leading the group’s efforts to develop pricing mechanisms across a broad portfolio of commodities. She has led a number of developments on the pricing methodology of market benchmark prices on iron ore especially on the pricing for high-grade iron ore products. Prior to joining Fastmarkets, she worked in physical trading of commodities. She earned a degree in Statistics from the National University of Singapore.

George SU is a corporate advisor with extensive cross-border investment and M&A experiences in Australasia, particularly between China and Australia. Mr Su headed CITIC Securities Australian operation from 2009 to 2013 with a special focus on cross border transactions between Australia and China.

Mr Su has lived and worked in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia and now resides in Sydney. He has held senior positions in a Chinese government-controlled investment group and was an independent director of Macquarie Bank's China property fund for 8 years.
