SRK Consulting welcomes Principal Consultant Tim Olson to its Denver office. Tim is an expert in mine planning and operations with over 27 years of global mining experience focused on underground and open pit operations. Having worked as an associate consultant with SRK from 2008 until early this year, Tim signed on as a full-time employee in March. He brings to SRK a wealth of industry knowledge and experience.
Before joining SRK, Tim held both engineering and operational positions at major mining companies such as Asarco and the Homestake Mining Company. He also practiced mine health and safety law for more than a decade, initially with Jackson Kelly PLLC in Denver and later as a solo practitioner. His many skills include mine planning and optimization, equipment selection, capital and operating cost estimation, feasibility and owner-mining studies, financial analysis, project management, and mine decommissioning and rehabilitation.
