A successful office opening party for SRK Sweden was held alongside a major Nordic mining conference in Skellefteå, Euro Mine Expo, in June of this year. The party was well attended by a good cross-section of clients, suppliers,
government organisations, academic institutions and also representatives from SRK UK and SRK Exploration.
SRK Sweden was established in Skellefteå in April 2009. The practice has benefited from being located in a mining region and has developed a high profile client base in a very short period of time. Although still relatively small
in terms of number of employees, the office has already started to develop a group of specialised associates and also has access to SRK employees based at its offices elsewhere in Europe and around the world.
Most of SRK Sweden’s work during 2009/10 has been within Sweden, but recent commissions in Finland bode well for expanding the client base to the rest of the Nordic Region over the coming years.
