Corporate Cut-Off Grade Policy

Goldcorp Corporate Cut-Off Grade Policy for all Open Pit, Underground Mines, Projects and Studies in 2019

Following up on the completion of a major gold mining company’s operations cut-off grade strategic optimization study earlier in 2018, SRK Sudbury has been commissioned by the same company to generate a corporate cut-off grade policy that will be rolled out to all their open pit and underground operations, projects, and studies in 2019.

The assignment involves three phases including: assess the current cut-off grade practice at all operations, develop the overarching cut-off grade guidance, and generate the implementation plan for the new cut-off grade policy.

The cut-off grade policy will be multi-layered, defining consistent revenue and cost inputs across all the company’s sites, proving breakeven, incremental, and optimized cut-off grade methodologies, formulas, and templates, as well as defining roles and responsibilities for each component of the cut-off grade process. Engaging stakeholders is key to the group’s success on this assignment and, as such, they have invited SRK to visit all sites to connect with mine planners, metallurgists, and controllers.
