Crosslands Resources Limited operates the Jack Hills mine, located in the Mid West region of Western Australia. Stage 1 of the mining operation commenced in November 2006, producing around 1.8 million tonnes per annum of Direct Shipping Ore (DSO). The DSO mineralisation represents a small proportion of the overall Jack Hills resource, with the majority of the resource comprised of a lower-grade beneficiable ore.
In 2011, SRK completed a Bankable Feasibility Study for the Jack Hills Expansion Project, and a small satellite DSO deposit, Brindal. SRK provided technical studies in seven key areas, including: geological studies, geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology, mine planning, acid drainage and metal leaching, conceptual mine closure plan, and risk review.
SRK also contributed to the development of an Ore Reserve estimate to meet JORC Code (2004) standards.
