SRK prepared Mineral Resource estimates and models for several bauxite deposits in Alliance Mining Commodities’ Koumbia Mining Concession area, which is located in the Boké region of Guinea.
These models were used to support a definitive feasibility study (DFS). The DFS focused on the extraction of export-quality bauxite from selected deposits and transportation to a river port facility located on the Rio Nunéz near Boké.
Data acquired from over 30,000 m of drilling were used to prepare resource models for bauxite deposits located on 11 plateaux in the project area. The study included the compilation and validation of data collected from numerous exploration programs conducted since 2006. A detailed assessment of mineralogical data was conducted to enable local estimates to be prepared for a comprehensive set of major and minor elements and geometallurgical parameters.
Upon completion of the resource modelling study, SRK was commissioned to design and manage an exploration program aiming to collect and characterise of material suitable for the preparation of marketing and metallurgical samples.
