For mine ventilation, airflow measurements are often given greater importance than pressure measurements. Often, airflow measurements are the only measurement used to monitor a ventilation system. However, pressure and airflow are both important for monitoring and understanding a ventilation system. Measured airflow and pressure are a required element for the development of a correlated ventilation model. The resistance of airways is directly calculated from pressure and quantity measurements. In this presentation, we’ll cover different ways to accurately capture pressure measurements in underground airways and the importance of using both pressure and airflow measurements to accurately develop your ventilation model.

Alluvial mining for diamonds started in India and for centuries alluvial mining was the primary source of diamonds.
Watch VideoThis 20-minute webinar outlines the emerging role of simulation work and digital twins in the haulage activity of existing operations as well as the design of mine expansions and future projects. Examples are used to highlight how discrete event simulations can be used to characterize the behavior of the trucking process and identify risks, while supporting the decisions needed to streamline and improve haulage performance.
