Alejandro is a civil engineer with a Master´s degree in Geotechnics. He has been involved in mining operations in projects located in Australia, Central and South America, the Caribbean, East Asia and South Africa. He is specialized in the application of probabilistic techniques for slope stability, rock-fall analysis and charaterization of tailings material using automation techniques and numerical simulation. Alejandro has developed teaching activities in the courses of Soil Mechanics, Solid Mechanics and Strength of Materials, including laboratory training and research projects in the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Los Andes (Colombia).
