Carla is a Civil Engineer with a major in Hydraulic, Sanitary and Environmental Engineering from Universidad de Chile. With over twelve years as a Project Engineer, she has played a pivotal role in diverse multidisciplinary projects within the mining sector across South America, Europe, Australia, and Africa.
After five years at Golder Associates S.A. working as a project engineer in the surface water team, she joined to SRK Consulting (Chile) hydrogeological team, contributing to hydrological studies, meteorological assessments, and water balance modelling. After a year and a half, she furthered her expertise by joining SRK Consulting UK's water team, supporting hydrological studies, conducting climate change assessments, contributed to water management strategies, risk assessment, and civil design.
Carla is proficient in hydrological studies, hydraulic modelling, climate change assessments, and the design of hydraulic structures. Her expertise encompasses the design of systems for managing contact and non-contact water across all project life stages, from prefeasibility to closure and post-closure. Over the last two years, Carla has focused particularly on data analysis using the R programming language. As a senior engineer and project manager, Carla is involved in proposal execution, client collaboration, and field campaign.
