Lilian has experience in the mining sector, specifically in the environmental area related to the implementation of environmental and quality standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, as well as in the development and processing of environmental and mining permits for projects and evaluation of commitment compliance.
She is a specialist in the closure of mining operations, particularly in risk assessment at closure, and in mining environmental legislation. She participated as an active member of the team implementing the Mine Closure Law in Chile, in the development of the technical and methodological regulation guides.
Lilian has developed strategies for the development of closure plans through the analysis of the risks of the facilities at closure, integrating the various disciplines that make up mine closure.
She has participated in the development of environmental impact studies and statements and in the preparation of sectoral permits and closure plans at both national and international levels.
Most mineral deposits provide challenges in resource estimation, including the quantification of mineable minerals, as well as the quantification and location of waste-rock materials that might generate acid rock drainage (ARD).
