Sharmila has experience in data analysis/validation, geological modelling, resource estimation, and reporting adhering to the guidelines of CRIRSCO type international reporting codes. Sharmila's experience spans multiple commodities and includes international assignments throughout Indonesia, Madagascar, Guinea, and Congo.
Her specific expertise in coal geology encompasses the design, implementation, and management of coal exploration programs, geological assessment of coal deposits, and computer modelling of coal. Sharmila has worked in coal quality assessments, coal resource estimation, due diligence studies and technical audits.
In addition to her core technical skills, Sharmila has practical experience in field exploration including exploration planning, pitting-trenching, drilling, core logging, sampling and implementing and monitoring QAQC protocols.
She is proficient in software such as MINEX, SURPAC, AutoCAD.
