Integrating Multi-Disciplinary Modelling and Uncertainty for Impact Assessment

SRK was commissioned to update a post-closure impact assessment on the Hannukainen project in Finnish Lapland originally undertaken in 2012.  This update reflects not only updated baseline monitoring data and a new project description for the brownfield iron-copper-gold project but also presented an opportunity to incorporate developments in water stewardship thinking. The results were used to develop a strategy for early identification and management of water risks at a catchment-scale and to provide visual results that could be easily communicated to key catchment stakeholders.
