Diego focuses on the sustainable and responsible management of water resources in mining projects. Before joining SRK, Diego worked as the Corporate Water Management Superintendent at Peñoles and Fresnillo in Mexico, where he led both strategic and technical efforts to ensure water efficiency and regulatory compliance.
He also managed water resources at the Veladero mine in San Juan, Argentina, and was responsible for water management at the Josemaría project, also in San Juan, where he led the defense of the environmental impact report on water resources before regulatory authorities.
His experience includes overseeing both the technical and governance aspects of water stewardship across these important mining projects.
Diego’s approach is informed by his academic background in hydrogeology and his commitment to developing comprehensive and sustainable solutions for the mining industry's water-related challenges.
