Dr. Saeed Golian, MSc, PhD, is a Senior Hydrologist, with a PhD in Hydrology and MSc in Water Resources Management. With a strong educational background and extensive experience in academia and research, Saeed has made significant contributions to the field of hydrology and water resource management. He has worked on diverse and complex climate and surface water hydrology reviews worldwide.
Saeed has developed expertise in various aspects of hydrology and water resources management throughout his career. His specialization includes climate review, surface water and hydrological review, climate change assessment, mine water balance studies, extreme weather forecasting (floods and droughts), and hydrological modeling using conceptual and data-driven models. His knowledge and skills in these areas have made him a valuable asset in the field, allowing him to tackle complex challenges related to water resources and environmental management. Saeed’s extensive list of publications underscores his contributions to the advancement of hydrology and water resources management. His research work has been published in reputable journals and covers a wide range of topics.
Based in Iran initially (2011 to 1019) and then in Ireland (from 2019-2023), Saeed has worked in academia as an Associate professor and senior researcher on different water-related projects. Since joining SRK in January 2023, Saeed has been involved in many projects providing climate and surface water reviews, mainly located in Central Asian and African countries.
