Beaufort West Solar Energy Facility (Pty) Ltd holds an Environmental Authorisation (EA) for a photovoltaic solar energy project near Beaufort West, Western Cape. An amendment application has been submitted to change the project layout and footprint, requiring a Part 2 amendment to be submitted to the DFFE under the NEMA EIA Regulations (2014, as amended). The EAP and relevant specialists have confirmed that the impacts and significance thereof will not increase as a result of the proposed amendments, nor will the management measures recommended to mitigate negative and enhance positive impacts.
