From a technical perspective, Oliver is experienced in open pit optimisation, ultimate and stage pit designs and strategic mine scheduling, ranging in engineering definition from conceptual studies through to bankable feasibility studies. This is supported by sound experience and knowledge across many operational mine engineering aspects, including tactical and short-term scheduling, mine designs, drill and blast and other supporting functions.
Oliver’s mixed skillset of technical and operational experience has recently led him to fulfilling primary roles in projects involving the evaluation of using in-pit crushing and conveying (IPCC) and trolley-assist technology in open pits, integrating mine plans and materials handling to manage acid and metalliferous drainage risks, and integrating pit backfill and progressive mine closure into mine plans.
