Chris specialises in the collection, verification and interpretation of geotechnical data for both open pit and underground mine design. He also has experience in site investigation and hazard assessment for civil engineering projects. Chris has managed multiple geotechnical drilling campaigns and contributed to studies ranging from Scoping to Feasibility level for mines across Europe, Central Asia, Africa and North America. He has particular expertise in rock mass characterisation and classification, as well as 3D rockfall modelling, and has spearheaded the development of SRK UK and KZ geotechnical data collection systems. Chris is an experienced user of programmes such as Leapfrog Geo and Rocscience’s Dips, Rocfall, Slide and RS2, and is proficient in Python programming for data interpretation and presentation.
